Whether it was the iconic acts of defiance by Bull Connor, the assassination of Medgar Evers, or the “I Have A Dream” speech by MLK, Jr., the year marked a seminal turning point in the struggle for civil rights. So as we look back 50 years later, David is joined by legendary jazz critic Stanley Crouch to examine the role of jazz in the civil rights movement.
