Glenn Carle – The Interrogator

David speaks with former CIA spy Glenn Carle about his new book The Interrogator. Shortly after 9/11, Carle became involved in the USA’s new found “War on Terror.” After a briefing with top dogs at the CIA, Carle learned about the preferred methods behind his interrogations with so-called terrorists. After becoming increasingly uncomfortable with these horrific methods (which Carle isn’t allowed to go into after his original draft was censored by the CIA), Carle approached his superiors in what was considered an act of defiance and naive trouble making.

Tanner Colby – Some Of My Best Friends Are Black

David welcomes writer Tanner Colby to chat about his book Some Of My Best Friends Are Black. Named after the phrase that African-Americans find so offensive, this book was inspired by the 2008 Presidential election when Colby realized that although the country was about to elect a black president, he didn’t actually know any black people. This curiosity sent Colby around the country to explore the successes and failures of integration in the United States.

David chats with Vice President of the Soufan Group Don Borelli about the current state of affairs in Africa. While most only folks focus on the negative things happening in Africa, Borelli points out that only China and India have quicker growing economies than Africa.
