To help us understand Atlanta’s place in the hip-hop world, David welcomes into the studio hip-hop producer and rapper Daddy-O. Daddy-O was a founding member of the pioneering Brooklyn hip-hop group Stetsasonic in the early 80s. He has gone on to work with groups as diverse as Mary J. Blige, Queen Latifah, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, and the B-52s. He has recently moved to Atlanta to begin a new hip-hop label. And he is talking with David today about the origins and future of Atlanta’s hiphop scene.

Mary Tillman – The Tillman Story
