After spending almost 35 years living in Maryland, Peggy got a phone call that changed her life. Her uncle, the King of Otuam, had passed away and it was decided that Peggy was to become King. David chats with Peter Bergen about Bergen’s latest book Manhunt: The Ten-Year Search For Bin Laden From 9/11 To Abbottabad. Since then, Bergen has become perhaps the most knowledgeable and trusted source on al-Qaeda and Osama Bin Laden. It seems only appropriate that in 2011, shortly after the Navy Seal raid that lead to the death of Bin Laden, Bergen would be the only American journalist allowed into the Bin Laden compound. Bergen shares his experience reconstructing the scene shortly before the compound’s destruction and the circumstances that lead to the demise of the al-Qaeda leader.
