David speaks with Hank Klibanoff, the former Managing Editor of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and the newly appointed the James M. Cox Professor of Journalism at Emory University. He is also the author of the Pulitzer-prize winning history of journalists during the Civil Rights movement called The Race Beat. Hank discusses the recent relevation that the influential and highly placed civil rights photographer, Ernest Withers, was in fact an informant for the FBI.

He actually first conceived of the idea for his master’s thesis at GA Tech but it would later be championed by a wide range of government, community, and business groups.
